Information for School Districts

Heartland Therapy is a therapist owned and operated company that provides occupational therapists, certified occupational therapy assistants, speech and language pathologists, speech and language assistants, as well as music therapists for full or part time positions in school districts throughout Arizona.

Heartland Therapy also specializes in educational settings with children who have the diagnosis of Autism. Heartland Therapy offers consulting to school districts in regards to:

• Implementation of Augmentative Communication Devices within the classroom
• Classroom set up and organization for students with Autism
• Implementation of visual supports/schedules within the classroom
• Providing opportunities for communication within the classroom
• Inclusion of students who are nonverbal or have limited speech production
• Using nonverbal communication to improve behavior and following directions
